Manually Configure Norton Internet
Security for Razzul

SYMPTOMS
The Razzul Software
will not connect to the Razzul Servers when Norton Internet Security is
installed in the system.
CAUSE
Norton Internet
Security Software blocks access to the Internet from Windows
Applications.
RESOLUTION
To Configure Norton
Internet Security so that it will allow Razzul access to the Internet
follow the steps below:
1)
Open the Norton Internet
Security Application
2)
Click on ‘Personal Firewall’ to select it
3)
Click the ‘Configure’ button in the lower right corner of the window
4)
From the Configure Dialog
choose the ‘Programs’ tab at the top of the Dialog
5)
On the Program Control tab
click the ‘Add…’ button at the bottom of the dialog
6)
The ‘Select a program’ dialog will appear
7)
Find the ‘Kid Innovation’ Folder and select it, then click ‘Open.’ The default location is: C:\Program Files\Kid
Innovation\
8)
In the Kid Innovation Folder
you will see a file named: Explorer.exe. Select that file and click ‘Open’
9)
A Norton ‘Program Control’ Dialog will appear.
10)
Choose ‘Permit’ from the ‘What do you want to do?’ popup, by click on the down arrow.
11)
Click ‘OK’
12)
On the next Dialog click ‘OK’ or choose a different application category.
13)
The file will be added to
the Manual Program Control list.
14)
Repeat steps 5 to 14 for the
following files: KIAdmin.exe and Upgrader.exe
15)
Once you have allowed access
the ALL three files by setting the program control to Permit, click the ‘OK’
button.
16)
Once finished you can log
off or switch user to login as your child… Razzul will appear.
