Failure to login to Razzul from the
Windows Welcome Screen

SYMPTOMS
When a child account is
selected from the Windows Welcome Screen, it does not log in to Razzul
and a failed to connect message appears.
CAUSE
Under certain
circumstances a Windows account that was created during a Razzul install
could become inoperative due to other software being installed via the
Administrator (or Parent) account. In this instance it may become
necessary to re-create the child account. This can also be caused by the
presence of Zone Alarm, Norton Firewall or other firewall software being
installed and new Razzul updates being downloaded.
RESOLUTION
Below are the steps
required to delete and then add back in the child accounts for Razzul.
NOTE: FOR
THE FOLLOWING STEPS TO WORK CORRECTLY RAZZUL MUST ALREADY BE INSTALLED.
First, to delete a
child account follow the steps below:
1)
Log in to your Parent
Account.
2)
Click the Windows Start
Menu.
3)
Click on
'Control Panel.'
4)
Once the Control Panel
window opens, select the 'User Accounts' control panel
icon.
5)
The Windows User Accounts
Control Panel will appear.
6)
From this window you should
see an icon for each child account that was created.
7)
Click on a child icon and
when the next screen appears select the 'Delete the account'
option.
8)
In the next screen
select the 'Delete Files' button.
9)
In the next screen select
the 'Delete Account' button.
10)
Once the account is deleted
you will be returned to the User Accounts Control Panel main screen.
11)
If you need to delete
additional child accounts go back to step 6.
12)
Once all the child accounts
are deleted you should be at the User Account main screen.
13)
From the main User Account
screen, click on 'Create a New Account.'
14)
In the box labeled, 'Type
a name for the new account' enter your child's name EXACTLY
like you entered it into Razzul. (TIP: If you have forgotten the
exact spelling, run the Razzul User Manager.)
15)
Once the name is entered
click the 'Next' button.
16)
Click the 'Create
Account' button.
17)
Your child’s account is
created and you will be returned to the User Account main page.
18)
If you have additional child
accounts to create go back to step 12..
19)
Once all the accounts are
created log off of Windows or Switch User and Razzul should operate
normally.
