Modem does not dial when child account
is selected

SYMPTOMS
When a child account is
selected from the Windows Welcome Screen, a window appears explaining
there is no Internet connection. If you are using a modem, your modem is
not activated and a connection to the Internet is not made.
CAUSE
By default, Windows does
not automatically use the modem to establish a connection to the Internet.
RESOLUTION
Below are the steps
required to configure a child account to auto dial the Internet:
1)
Log in to your Parent
Account.
2)
Run Internet Explorer and go
to the following website: http://www.razzul.com/manage
3)
Log in using your parent
e-mail and password used when registering
4)
Once you are logged into the
Razzul Admin Site go to the Account Maintenance section
5)
Click the ‘Razzul Settings’
button
6)
On the Razzul Settings
Screen remove the check from the box labeled ‘Enable Razzul’
7)
Click the ‘Update’
button
8)
Choose your Windows Start
Menu and select ‘Logoff’
9)
At the ‘Log Off Windows
dialog’ select ‘Switch User’
10)
You will be returned to the
Windows Welcome Screen, select your child’s icon

The step above disabled
Razzul so you will now be logged into Windows
12)
From within Windows, start
Internet Explorer
13)
Once Internet Explorer
starts, choose the ‘Tools’ menu
14)
Select ‘Internet Options’
from the menu
15)
When the Internet Options
dialog appears click the ‘Connections’ tab at the top of the
dialog. You should see your modem connection listed in the box.
16)
On the Connections tab make
sure ‘Always dial my default connection’ is selected
17)
Next to ‘Current’ should
be your modem connection, if it is not displayed, highlight it in the box
and click ‘Set Default’
18)
Click ‘OK’
19)
Navigate to the following
website: http://www.razzul.com/Manage
20)
Log in to the Razzul Admin
Site, click the ‘Razzul Settings’ button as above and enable
Razzul
21)
Close Internet Explorer,
choose Start, logoff and then select logoff
22)
At the Windows Welcome
Screen, select your child’s icon… they should now be brought into Razzul
and automatically connected to the Internet.
